"Pieces" is a collection of various guitar-based instrumentals from a period ranging from late-2009 through early-2012.

A few CDRs of an earlier version of "Pieces" were given to a certain few people several years back.

Different degrees of sound quality are present on this collection. A Zoom H4N Handy Recorder, a Tascam Portastudio 488 Mk. II and an MP3 player were all used to record these pieces. Some are acoustic. Some are electric. Some are in stereo. Some are in mono. Some was recorded indoors. Some, outdoors. Some have overdubs. Some do not.

All actions herein by JvSs, except:

M.B. played additional guitar on "string" & "pizza" and I used his 12-string acoustic on "wastement".
I also used S.B.'s 5-string acoustic fretless bass on "tumble".

Total running time: about 78 minutes, 9 seconds.

"murk": Some of the last guitar stuff I did using tape. Edited Saturday, 2014-10-18. Not remixed. I thought of overdubbing some new parts (and just might in the near future), but for this version here I wanted to keep intact the essence of the time it was originally recorded, which I'm guessing would have been sometime in 2009?

"twoandahalfyears": Made from lo-fi recordings made during 2009-08-17 thru 2012-03-07 of casual laid-back solo guitar jams, a car alarm, a lightpost, a mystery voice-mail, a concrete saw, random street noises/voices, a storm door, a squeaky grocery cart, a gas meter, and ten light bulbs. Raw sounds gathered, assembled, edited and mixed on the evening/night of 2014-08-20.
